Description:
Mount Samat National Shrine (Tagalog pronunciation: [samat]) or Dambana ng Kagitingan (Shrine of Valour) is a historical shrine located near the summit of Mount Samat in the town of Pilár, Province of Bataan, in the Republic of the Philippines. The memorial shrine complex was built to honor and remember the gallantry of Filipino and American soldiers who fought during World War II.

Hinikayat ko si Tita na pumunta sa Mt. Samat kasi gusto kong makita ni Uncle Bill yung shrine pati na rin yung museum para malaman at makita niya yung history ng lugar na ito at yung mga naging karanasan ng mga Pilipino at Amerikano noong World War II. Nag share din sya ng story about as WWII. Nag-enjoy kami sa pagbisita sa shrine lalo na si Uncle. First time niya lang kasi makapunta sa Philippines at 3 weeks lang siya dito kaya sinamantala na niya. He kept on comparing Philippines and America about the weather, the people, the places and especially the foods. It was his first time here, and he already fell in love with our country, The Philippines. He's willing to stay here for good! He loves everything about our country. Kasama na rin dito ang Mt. Samat Shrine dahil said history nito at sa ganda ng lugar na ito. He even told his friends back home in America to come and visit our country.
